Annoying day

Brian's watch strap broke; it was a Bedat watch, bought from Harrods and a very good one. I'd bought it for him four years ago, but it still had a five year guarantee. I traipsed across to Harrods, who no longer stock Bedat watches. Their response was: "go to Selfridges". After a brisk discussion, they are going to try to secure a watch strap themselves from Bedat. I have told them that my future custom depends on them learning what after-sales service is.
